Colorado Shooting Victim Ashley Moser Has Suffered Another Tragedy

A week ago today, Ashley Moser, 25, lost her daughter Veronica, age 6, when she was among the 12 innocent people killed in a Colorado movie theater.

Now she has suffered yet another tragedy, a miscarriage. "Tragically, the extreme trauma she sustained also caused a miscarriage," the Moser family said in a statement Saturday.

Moser was among 58 wounded in the Aurora, Colorado shooting spree. She is one of 11 victims still recovering at three local hospitals, including five that remain in critical condition.

While sources say Ashley will be paralyzed for life, she underwent yet another surgery this morning.

"Our sincere appreciation goes out to all of those who have been sending well-wishes, prayers and good thoughts to Ashley," the family said. "Her lifetime of care will be a long road."

Funeral arrangements for her 6-year-old daughter Veronica Moser-Sullivan are still pending.
