Shooting Spree Suspect Has Been Officially Charged

The Aurora, CO, shooting spree suspect has been officially charged on 142 counts.

24 of those counts are on murder and there are 116 counts of attempted murder (58 counts of attempted premeditated murder, and 58 counts of murder with "universal malice").

If when convicted he could face the death penalty, which some say they would rather see him rot away in prison.

12 people are dead, while 58 people were wounded during the shooting. However, it seems only logical that the number of deaths should be increased to 13, since victim Ashley Moser (25) lost her unborn recently due to complications from her injuries in the shooting.

His next court hearing will be on August 9, 2012.
